Caribbean-style white sand, turquoise shallows, and the famous swings in the sea — the Red Sea's most photographed island beach.
Orange Bay is the Red Sea's answer to the Caribbean. Set on Giftun Island, about 40 minutes by boat from Hurghada and inside the protected Giftun Islands National Park, it is a dazzling stretch of soft white sand lapped by calm, shallow water in every shade of turquoise. Its famous wooden swings rise straight out of the sea, and picture-perfect wooden walkways stretch out over the water — some of the most photographed spots on the entire Egyptian coast. Spend the day exactly as you like: wade into the shallows, swim in water so clear you can see every ripple on the sand, or relax on a sunbed beneath a palm-leaf umbrella with a refreshing drink from one of the island's beach bars. Most boat trips also stop at nearby coral reefs for snorkelling among parrotfish, clownfish, and colourful corals, and dolphins are sometimes spotted along the way. Our cars are based right here in Hurghada, so your day starts at your own hotel: a morning pickup timed to your boat, a short drive to Hurghada marina, and a relaxed ride back to your hotel in the late afternoon. Staying in Marsa Alam? We can arrange the transfer up the coast too. The boat cruise, park fees, lunch, and snorkelling gear are arranged separately with the marina operators — from classic day boats to private luxury yachts — and we're glad to recommend the most reliable ones.
