A free-entry snorkelling bay where turtles and dugongs feed just metres from the shore.
Marsa Mubarak is the most accessible of Marsa Alam's snorkelling bays — and one of the most rewarding. Entry is completely free, it's just a short drive from town, and the seagrass flats offshore attract resident green sea turtles that come to feed throughout the day. Dugongs visit several times a week. The water is so calm and clear that you can often spot the turtles from the beach itself — no boat, no tickets, no guided tour needed. It makes a perfect gentle outing on your arrival day, a relaxed half-day trip, or a wonderful full snorkelling day combined with Abu Dabbab. Whatever suits you best — we'll happily build the day around your wishes.
